“… all we are going to do for eternity is sit around the fire.”

-Ram Dass

Holly Voges is an award-winning director originally from Missouri (the traditional territory of the Osage and Kickapoo people).

As a child she felt the woods around her house were a magical place, and developed a reverence for the natural world. She believes we are all connected; the earth, the animal, the human, the plant.

She is driven to create challenging content that is at once uncomfortable and familiar; stories that explore the complexity of existence and dare the audience to engage with difficult, dark, or overlooked realities.

Many of the stories Holly is drawn to are informed by having grown up with a father who was a disabled veteran. Seeing how the world perceived him and how he perceived the world had a profound effect on her, particularly in regard to the nature of the stories she tells and characters she focuses on; the outcast, misunderstood, and mentally ill.  She seeks to show their side of the story, shedding much needed light and humanity on those society often maligns.

Holly loves the snow, takes time to rescue animals, and thinks Fraggle Rock is a joy.
