Writer. Director.
Curator. Creator.
Holly learned about filmmaking by working on the set.
She started out as a makeup artist, grip and p.a., then moved up to art director and producer for a production company in the middle of Missouri (the traditional territory of the Kickapoo and Osage people).
Inspired by the local film festival called True/False, she began working closely with the festival directors to learn as much as she could about festival operations and the art of curation. Years at T/F prepared her to move on to Sundance, where she spent two years working in the Film Office before moving out to New York (Munsee Lenape territory).
Holly spent seven years working for the Tribeca Film Festival as a department manager, liaison and programmer. During that time she also worked in the production office as a coordinator for shows at BBC America and VH1.
She was the lead programmer at Rooftop Films before deciding to create her own work.
